The rules for using TurboGST.
Draft
1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms are between you and TurboGST (“we”, “us”). They apply to this website (turbogst.in), the free browser tools, the TurboGST accounts and apps, and the TurboGST browser extension. By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our privacy page. If you use TurboGST for a business or on behalf of a client, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.
2. What TurboGST is, and what it is not
- TurboGST helps you prepare and check GST files: it reads invoices, builds GSTR-1 JSON, splits large files, explains portal errors and matches GSTR-2B against your purchase records.
- It is file-based. We never log in to the GST portal for you, and we never ask for your portal password, OTP or digital signature. You upload files to the portal yourself, with your own login, and you press the final buttons.
- We are not a GST Suvidha Provider, not a chartered accountant or tax practitioner, and not the Goods and Services Tax Network. Nothing on this site is tax, legal or financial advice. Rates, due dates and rules change; the notification and the portal are the final word.
3. You are responsible for what you file
Our tools can make mistakes: an invoice may be read wrongly, a fix may not suit your case, and a rule may have changed. Check every figure, every file and every proposed fix before you upload or file anything. You, not us, are responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of your returns, for the input tax credit you claim and for any tax, interest, fee or penalty that results. Fixes that change an amount are proposals that you must confirm.
4. Accounts
- Give us accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including people you add to it.
- You may sign in with an email and password or with Google. Two-step sign-in is available and, for some roles, required.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused.
5. Your data
- You keep ownership of the invoices, files and other data you give us (“your data”). You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described on the privacy page.
- You confirm that you have the right to upload your data, including your clients' or suppliers' details, and that doing so does not break any law or agreement.
- The free tools run in your browser and do not upload your files to us.
- If invoice reading is on for your account, the files you upload are sent to our extraction provider to read the invoice fields.
- You can delete invoices and documents in the app. You can ask us to delete your account and its data using the contact details on this site.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use TurboGST to break the law, to file false returns or claim credit you are not entitled to, to upload malware, to probe or disrupt the service, to get around limits or security, to access another person's account or data, or to copy or resell the service without our written permission. Do not use the browser extension or the site to read, capture or automate the GST portal.
7. Plans and payment
The free tools are free. Paid plans are priced in rupees and shown without 18% GST; GST is added to the amount you pay. Paid plans have not started yet. When they do, we will show the price, the billing period and how to cancel before you pay, and these terms will be updated first. Plan limits (such as the number of GSTINs or invoice pages read each month) are shown on the pricing page.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep TurboGST running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or remove features, especially while the product is still being built. We avoid risky changes around GST filing deadlines, but cannot promise there will be no downtime then.
9. Our work and yours
TurboGST, its software, design, text and brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the service under these terms. You may not copy it, reverse engineer it or use our name without permission, except where the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the service without paying you.
10. No warranty
TurboGST is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for your purpose, including that any generated file will be accepted by the GST portal.
11. Limit on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, lost data, lost input tax credit, or tax, interest, late fees or penalties arising from your use of TurboGST or your reliance on it. Our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using TurboGST at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or that the law requires us to close, and we will tell you why where we can. Sections that by their nature should continue (data, liability, governing law) do so after your account ends.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date below, and for material changes we will tell account holders by email or in the app. Using TurboGST after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law gives you the right to go to a different court.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the contact details shown in the site footer once they are published.
