RET191106: Error in JSON structure validation

The portal could not read the file's structure. This usually happens straight after upload when the GSTIN inside the file is missing, wrong, or doesn't match the GSTIN you are filing for.

Why it happens

  • The `gstin` in the file is missing or differs from the GSTIN selected on the portal.
  • The file is not a valid GSTR-1 JSON (truncated, hand-edited or generated by another tool).

How to fix it

  1. Check that `gstin` in the file is the GSTIN you are filing for.
  2. Regenerate the file instead of editing it by hand, then upload again.
